Looking for Marriage Record of Felice Rubino

Post by rp76226 »

Felice Rubino and Antonia/Antoinette Cicerale had a child Filomena on April 26, 1897 in Torremaggiore, Foggia, Italy. She is the oldest child for the couple that we know of. Believe that they would have married in Torremaggiore prior to that. My search so far hasn't found their marriage record, but the records by province are all together and sometimes not in order. Can anyone find this Italian civil record?

Suanj, not sure what you are saying to me about 1890. The records for Torremaggiore go past 1890 in both directions. Look for the unlocked camera icons. See link - https://www.familysearch.org/search/cat ... %20Library

Multiple comunes form Foggia are shown for each year.

Ron,
I checked those indices from 1897 backwards through 1890, and a few earlier and did NOT find a marriage for them.

However, I did find some records I thought I would pass along...
These appear to the the births of children born to two of Matteo Cicerale's brothers (who were also the sons of Michele Cicerale and Grazia Maria Izzi)

Salvatore Cicerale - son of Michele and Grazia Maria Izzi.
The is the birth of Salvatore's son Michele in 1869

Another son of Michele Cicerale - Fippo (wondering if it was supposed to be Filippo) - birth of daughter Grazia Maria Cicerale in 1869

Thanks Tessa for the new information.

On Michele's birth record, is the mother's surname Pilloli? Also, what does the side note say?

On Grazia Maria's birth record, is the mother's surname Piano?

I mean that by this webpage: https://www.familysearch.org/search/sea ... %3D2043436
here the civil records

Nati, matrimoni, morti, notificazioni 1866-1870
Nati, matrimoni, morti, notificazioni 1871-1881
Nati, matrimoni, morti, notificazioni 1881-1890, 1873
the Allegati instead refer to births, marriages and deaths transcribed and filed in Torremaggiore

I will search for the marriage again. Because of the number of towns in the records, I may have missed it.

Thank you for continuing to try and for the new child found. I still don't understand why the Catalog data on Torremaggiore isn't found in the Search Data by region, province, and town. I normally rely on the search data for civil records since all the Italian privinces are listed in one place in alphabetical order.

Thinking again about the new child, Michelangelo, without his Cicerale mother to confirm it is from the same family, cannot be sure if it is indeed a new child. Tried looking through the 1893 civil records for this birth record, but can't find Torremaggiore. They have all the comunes of Foggia scrambled in no apparent order among 3,300 pages. Why do they do that?

If you read the ship's manifest, Michelangelo left his father, Felice in Torremaggiore, and joining to his uncle Domenico Cicerale ... so no doubts that is the same family...
