Hello!
I am a little bit confused by all the info about how to get the non naturalization record of my grandmother in the USA. I am actually from Argentina, applying for italian citizenship over here, but my grandmother lived in the USA for a few years back in the 70s. I am 100% sure she didn't naturalize. So now I need that record and I need to know what steps I have to take to get it.
Extra question: The web site of the USCIS says that in order to request the record of non naturalization the immigrant must be deceased, but my grandmother is still alive in Argentina so that confuses me even more. How can I get it if she's still alive?
If anyone can help me with this I would be super grateful. Thanks in advance!

Re: Non naturalization record
My understanding is that your grandmother will have to request it.
