is anyone out there aware of any upcoming plans or projects to add parish records for online research? in particular looking for parishes in southern italy. avellino (lapio,luogosano,san mango,taurasi) and messina (barcellona pozzo di gotto,gualtieri sicamino,santa lucia del mela,san filippo del mela). i don't expect any additions at family search or the antenati website at this point. as we all know,pre 1809 record research in mainland italy and pre 1820 record research in sicily is necessary to go back further beyond the civil records and into the parish records. writing and emailing the dioceses never yields results. 20 years and 2 documents to show for my trouble. going over there is out of the question,as well as paying a researcher. prefer to do it myself. any insight would be most appreciated.

that would be great. need access for parishes in the provinces of avellino and messina. is anything available yet? i would imagine this will be very difficult as lds has never had much success with this. lots of issues with licensing and money,not to mention religious reasons. i know lds dealt with this with the civil records,so i would imagine its more complicated with parish records. looking for parish records in the provinces of avellino and messina. avellino-lapio,luogosano,san mango sul calore,and taurasi. in the province of messina-barcellona pozzo di gotto,gualtieri sicamino,santa lucia del mela,and san filippo del mela.
