Corsino/Calidonia - Sambiase, Lamezia Terme, Catanzaro

Hello,

I am looking for information on my gg grandmother Vinenzia Calidonia born about 1882 in Sambiase Italy. Her husband Andreae Corsino was also born in Sambiase and I believe he came over to the US prior to 1902 and settled in Columbus Ohio. I found a passenger list that has Vincenzia and her two daughters Angelina Corsino (1899) and Carmella Corsino (1901) coming to meet her husband A. Corsino in Columbus Ohio.

I am looking for birth and marriage records for VIncenzia and Andrea as well as for the 2 girls. I don't believe the records exist digitally for Sambiase from the time period I am interested in, and I'm not certain how to go about requesting them from the commune.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, there are no records online for Sambiase after 1865.
Can you post a link to Vincenza's travel manifest?

The first name of the mother on line 20 is Innocenza, age 34. (so born about 1868)

I see 2 sons listed with her as well, correct?
Luigi age 14, and Giuseppe age 11.

Yes the name is Innocenza on this list. She is listed on the 1915 NJ Census as Noncenzia after she married her second husband Tony Scelza. You can See her daughter Mary (Corsino) was born in Ohio.

I'm not 100% on why the age is different, it's kind of scribbled over as well on the sheet. She passed away in 1948 so it's possible she changed her age on later documents because she remarried and had a second family.

The 2 other siblings I have not heard about, but on Carmella's death certificate, the informant is Mrs. Joe (Giuseppe) Corsino, which could be her sister-in-law.

Something seems amiss here...

Mary Corsino is born in August 1902 in Ohio according to the New Jersey census you posted.
Yet, when Innocenza and her children immigrated it was October 1902.

I don't yet have a birth record found for Mary, but across a dozen records i've seen her birth year reported anywhere from 1902-1904.

I have a handful of DNA results that also point to this family, so I am fairly certain I'm on the right track, Just not sure how to request records from the Comune.
