Martino Antonio Cornetta and Maria Olivia Cornetta

Post by dngaddie »

Looking for these brother and sister. Suppose to be son and daughter of Matteo Cornetta and Angela Iannuzzi.

Martino born Nov. 1868 Altavilla Silentina. Maria born Sept. 1971 Altavilla Silentina. Can find no proof. It is noted in a tree on ancestry.

Just wonder if any can locate them and find documentation.

The parents are parent of my great grandfather Guiseppe Cornetta born 1865 in Altavilla Silentina. I do have proof of his marriage and birth.

Thanks.

No, the records don't say anything about baptism.
Matteo is said to be 48 in 1868, so, one can look for his birth in the registers around 1820.
And look for his marriage before 1865.
However, but that's just my feeling, the name Martino Cornetta sounds to be from Serre, a nearby town.

I checked Family Search, People with same names but fathers and dates don't seem to check.
I did find Angela Maria Iannuzzi born 3 Nov. 1834. Parents were Giuseppe Iannuzzi and Teresa Mari. The date close to age as reported on Martino birth but different name for her father. I try some other names.

Found tree that said Matteo Cornetta born in Feb. 1822 in Serre, Salerno , Italy. His middle name could be Giuseppe. Also his father Vito Antonio possibly born 1795. Is there any way this can be checked? Thanks

Here it is:

https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 27/0Zn9Bgm

His father was 27 in 1822, so, born abt 1795

But you have to find the marriage of Matteo to be sure.
I would be glad if my guess was correct! 8)
