PM messages sitting in Outbox and never being Sent

Hello,
Can anyone please help administrator help please?
I can’t send PM messages to other researchers on this board/forum - the messages just sit in my Outbox and are never Sent.

I also can’t send a PM message to the administrator so had to post here. FAQ just says to contact the board administrator and this is only way I can find to do this.

Can an administrator help please?

Click on the three dark lines on the top left of this page, below the long line under Italiangenealogy.com. There is a contact option there. Once you click on it, a form will appear which you need to fill out and send to the administrator with your email contact info and message.

Jamie, for your information, I have several private messages that have been sitting in my "outbox" for years and it is not because they "haven't been sent". The private messages don't actually "get sent". They sit there until the person you have sent the message to clicks on the message to them. All my messages sitting in my outbox are to new forum members who have sent me a message first, requesting my help, and for whatever reason they never return to the forum to see my response. Generally, when permitted, people should receive an email to notify them of a private message.

That makes a lot more sense now, especially understanding that messages stay in the Outbox until the recipient logs in and reads them. I appreciate you both taking the time to clarify this for me.

I also have a couple of messages still sitting in my outbox from several years ago -- I assume the recipient has simply achieved his genealogic goal and moved on & is no longer active in the forums...
