Donnici pre-1866 records

Post by A14o »

Hi - I’m wondering if anyone knows where pre-1866 Donnicese records were kept? There are none on antenati prior to 1866 and I’m wondering if that’s because it was governed under a different commune? I know Wikipedia mentions Aprigliano and Pietrafitta, but does anyone know for certain where they were kept? I’m looking for a record in 1839 if that changes anything

If you mean Donnici Inferiore or Superiore, they are part of the town of Cosenza, so, the record you are looking for might be here:

Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

My main confusion is that it wasnt annexed by Cosenza until 1857 - would the records have been there nonetheless?
