Iniziativa Immigrant Ship

Post by Topper »

I have posted queries on my grandfather Antonio Russo before. I recently discovered that my grandfather may have come over on the Iniziativa Cargo Ship in 1890. In 1890 he would have been 17 years old. On the 1900 U.S. Census report he stated that his year of immigration was 1890. There is a strong possibility that this 17 year old young man is my grandfather. I have not been able to find the ships manifest or a picture of the ship. Can anyone help me?....Thanks, Topper

Thanks Biff for your information. However, I appologize that this apparently is not my grandfather Antonio. He did not have syblings with those names. I have been searching for years through thousands of names and many ships manifests for him and my grandmother Vincenzino Cunti, and have encountered one dead end after another. I will be 77 this year and completely discouraged about my failure on this quest on my Paternal(Russo/Cunti) side and my Maternal (Barone/DiAntonio) side. Its just one part of the puzzle that will remain a mystery. I am thinking about throwing in the towel. I have been writing my family history and I think I will continue without that information. Thanks again for you response......Topper
