Hello, I am very grateful for availability latu maybe I can help.
I live in Cefalu in Sicily and I am looking for my relatives in America I can give you some information about my grandfather and my uncles who came to America in 1910.
My grandfather Peter Raimondi (N.15/08/1858 m. 07/01/1920)
Michael Raimondi (b. 31/10/1889 m. 3/19/1952) m. in Baltimore (Maryland)
John Raimondi (b. 24/12/1890 m. 1/16/1989) m. in miami (fla)
with this data I would like to find their descendants who still are in America.
ps I remind you that come from Cefalu in Sicily and their profession was a barber.

Here is a manifest that may be your Grandfather Pietro Raimondi...

This arrival is 1904 August 24 on the SS Ultonia
Pietro is 45, married and a merchant, from Cefalu
He was listed as in the US before (1896-1900)
He is going to his son Michele Raimondi in Plainville, Connecticut.

In looking for Pietro's son Michele (your uncle), I have found a ship manifest from 1951...
Traveling together from Italy are
Michele Raimondi, 64; and Giovanni Raimondi, 61.
They both list their address as 2468 18th St. Miami, Florida.



In your post you state that Michele (Michael) died in Baltimore, MD in 1952. Are you sure about this for your Michele? I found a Naturalization record for a Michele Raimondi in Baltimore, MD. He was born in Valguarnera, Sicily (not Cefalu) and his was born in 1899 (not 1889)... And he is a shoemaker, not a barber...
I don't think this is your Michele.

You can search for the father (and ancestors) of Pietro Raimondi by viewing the microfilms available at your local LDS Family History Center...

They have films of civil registrations for the period 1820-1910 for Cefalu, Palermo...

comunque il pietro che hai trovato non è il mio antenato perche sposato a palermo.
mi sono informato al comune di cefalù e ho trovato il padre di pietro (15.08.1858) si chiamava michele data stimata della nascita ma non sicura 1832 non so dove è nato ma so che era sposato con mariagrazia greco.
ti ringrazio sempre e se hai altre informazione fammi sapere e se puoi darmi informazioni per i discendenti che si trovano in america ti sarò veramente grato sempre grazie e apresto

ciao tessa78 ho cercato michele rajmondo nato circa nel 1832 non è nato ne morto a cefalù ho trovato solo atto di nascita del figlio pietro nel 1858. a quanto mi dicono all anagrafe forse è nato a castelbuono.
mi puoi dare informazioni? dove devo andare? a castelbuono mi possono dare informazioni?
