Help translating an Italian Coat of Arms
Help translating an Italian Coat of Arms
This coat of arms was discovered after my father-in-law's death. He was the last person in the family with the ability to read Italian. I would really appreciate any help in translating this document to English. Thank you!
Re: Help translating an Italian Coat of Arms
Ancient and powerful family on Lambertazza side, was part of the most important political events in the city of Bologna during XII century.
Some members of this family had to flee in Romagna and in 1298 Uguccione di Bartolomeo Principe was elected mayor of Imola by the Ghibellini (political faction) from Bologna gathered in that city. He was then asked to negotiate peace between Bologna and those Ghibellini, peace that was reached and signed in Bologna in 1309.
Many elderly were found in that city between 1359 and 1491
Other branches of the family can be found in Campania, Sicilia and Calabria
