So Ellis Island's online database interface is totally hosed

FamilySearch and Steven Morse's search at JewishGen are BOTH throwing 404s all over the place, and the Ellis webpage's results are so clunky and useless that it strains belief. It's so bad that at this point, I'm wondering if the whole thing isn't going to be disappearing behind an Ancestry paywall in a couple weeks.

I am FURIOUS about this. I'm so, so glad that I took caps of ALL of the relevant manifests for my family. They really screwed this up bigtime. It's as if they hired an amateur interior designer to revamp the Library of Congress who decided to make it look sexier by throwing out a bunch of shelves of old books and installing pool tables. Unbelievable.

Disaster the errors are rampant while Steve Morse has been hacked away......The entire website is lipservice and touristy not intended for serious personal research. Is nothing sacred anymore???????
