Antonio and Filomena had a daughter Carmela, born 5/20/1872

Re: Seeking information on my 3 times great grandparents
Hello Pippo,
This may be a duplicate response to you but I wanted to thank you for all the information you provided, it was much more then I could of expected.
Would you know how I can get a translation of the certificates? I was trying to read them and while I was doing that another named jumped out at me IAROCCI.
That is my family name.
I was aware that there had been some inter-marriage in later generations, but never heard about earlier on. So I am totally confused.
Thank you again
Geri

Re: Seeking information on my 3 times great grandparents
Hello Geri,
you're welcome!
First of all, I want to tell you that Antenati site can have much more than what I found (I just didn't have time for more searches). If you want to go on by yourself, it's not difficult...there are indexes at the beginning of every register. "Nati" is "Births", "Morti" is "deaths", "Matrimoni" is "marriages", and "Indici decennali" is "ten-years indexes".
As to the translation, I just reported the most significant info contained in records, but they are written following a regular template, and there's not much more.
They all start saying that saying that someone presented himself at the Town Hall before the Registrar, and declares something.
there must be some standard record translation on this forum, but I don't remember where...maybe someone else can help.
As to your "confusion"...well, you just have to go back a few generations with your father's family, and you'll see if there's any connection

Re: Seeking information on my 3 times great grandparents
Hello Pippo
Again I thank for the help, I did notice that the forms all seemed similar.
I am still working on this, but now I will start to collect info on my own family name
I'm sure you are correct, that I will eventually find the connection between families
