Hoping for assistance on Rizzo family from Nicosia, Sicily..

Hello, I am trying to fill in some blanks and if at all possible get some assistance to find out more about the family below...

My 3x great grandparents Francesco Rizzo b.1824 in Italy and his spouse Peatria Valenti also from Nicosia
I believe their children were: My 2x great grandmother Marchina Rizzo b.1869 Italy, d.1940 in Baltimore
a brother named Sigismundo Rizzo b.1865 Italy d.1928 Philadelphia,
a brother named Francesco Paolo Rizzo
and I am hopeful you can confirm the possibility of another brother named Antonio Rizzo b.1863 Italy and maybe any other that I may be unaware of.

Please let me know if I can add any other information that might be useful in order for you to aid me in this quest. Thanks so much!

This appears to be the death of another child of this couple (Francesco Rizzo and Pietra Valenti).
#351 in 1870.
Death of Carmelo Rizzo, age 14, unmarried son of Sig. Francesco Rizzo and Pietra Valenti.
He died at the home of his father at Via Sciabica on 28 September 1870 at 4 PM.

My cousin found someone who located the marriage for Francesco Rizzo and Pietra Valenti. Here is a link to it.

Do you think you could find a birth announcement for Antonio Rizzo? The census' that I have here in Philadelphia say that he is born sometime in 1863 but it could be as late as 1868. I see that someone has his birthdate as Nov 21 1868. Not sure if this is the same Antonio or another and I would like to confirm. I would look myself but I cannot read Italian and don't know how I could search the data base. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Also, for Sigismondo, I found this immigration index card, it seems that he has a brother-in-law in Nicosia named Vincenzo Giacinto. I am thinking that this means there is a sister (aside from my great grandmother Marchina Rizzo Sciabarrasi) who was born that we have no record of... is there a way to find out who she may be with just the name and surname of Vincenzo Giacinto? This might be a stretch, but I thought I would ask...

Hi Mel,

My Rizzo family is from Nicosia. Rizzo was a very common name in Nicosia, and Sicily alone! My great great grandfather Giuseppe Rizzo was bor 3 Jun 1890 in Nicosia to Michele Rizzo and Mattea Scellato. Michele's parents were Giuseppe Rizzo and Rosa Contino. Mattea's were Sigismundo Scellato and Luigia Scellato.

Michele might have had a sister Giuseppa who married Giovanni Tuminello. I am still researching if they're siblings. It lists Giovanni Tuminello on Michele's 1896 death record.
