How to find birth and/or marriage records for Palermo

Trying to find Onofrio Ciccarelli family in Montemaggiore, Palermo
But antenati online birth records for this town end In 1859. He was born about 1873. Where else can I look.
He emigrated to USA about 1892 but that is all the info I can find online for him or his family.

Is there a way to get official copies for their birth records? I umderstand that there was an earthquake and these records were destroyed. If they are online, do they exist somewhere else?

If you have already contacted the Town Offices and they said they have no records, then you have to write to the Archivio di Stato di Palermo, who can issue certifications if records are missing at the Comune.

The geneologist I am working with says that the Archivio di Stato di Palermo does not have it. Is there any other path to get these certified records?

The birth record on familysearch coming from the Court Archive of Termine Imerese. Microfilmed on 1996. IF Palermo archive don't have means that the Termini Imerese Court still did not pour in the Archive of Palermo.
I believe that your genealogicast can inform itself the procedure to have a certified copy with tax stamp replacing the birth certificate, in the case the civil records officer of Montemaggiore Belsito replied that the birth record was missed and he cannot relay the birth certificate.
