Rocco Fariello died March 19, 1944 in Grumo Appula. Sent you the death certificate that was mailed to me by Grumo Appula as an attachment in a private message to you just now since I cannot attach it to a normal reply. It is not a normal death certificate; just a partial transcript.

That certificate identifies the number and series in the book of deaths...

So I was able to find the original death act.
Rocco was residing in Toritto, but died on the Grumo Appula - Toritto road.
His death was reported to the official in Grumo Appula by the Commandant of the Carabinieri Reali of Grumo Appula and that is why the death is recorded there.

Here is the death act #3, Parte 2, series B in 1944

Thank you. So you found this on film at a Mormon Center? I do not see any way for me to find it on their online website. Is there a way?

I just posted a new post on Italian Genealogy about one of Filomena's Scarola's daughters. She and her husband adopted a boy in Italy, after unsuccessfully trying to get my grandparents to let them adopt my mother in America.
