Dual Citizenship

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Dual Citizenship

Post by cj11788 »

Hello,

I am working with my nephew to get duel citizenship. We are starting with my grandfather who was born in the city of Palermo on Jan 20, 1889 and married in the US. I found him in the Palermo index with his parents and the below information.

Who should I contact to get an official copy of his birth certificate?

Thanks

Chris Gandolfo

According to this:

https://www.comune.palermo.it/stato-civ ... hp?cat=291

you can try writing to statocivile@comune.palermo.it attaching the form you can download from the page, after filling it.
I guess you'll have to attach an image of your passport, too.
Also, ask if it's possible to receive a hardcopy of it, and how you can pay for such service.
