Links to Death Certificates

Post by MariaStringer »

I have asked this question previously but didnt get a full reply.

Is it possible to find a death certificate without a date of death?

I am looking for:
Giuseppe Domenico Modugno, born 12 November 1823, his father is Crescenzo Modugno

Rosa Modugno, married Angelantonio Valente, she was born 26 May 1869, her father Giuseppe Domenico Modugno

Angelantonio Valente, born 26 April 1862, possibly died 1911, his father Mauro Valente.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please advise if finding a death certificate with a date is too difficult.

thank you in advance

If Giuseppe was deceased when his daughter Rosa (or any of his children) married then you might find his death record included in the marital allegati, if available.

I found a record for Mauro at Find a Grave with the following information

Burial Utakarra, Greater Geraldton City, Western Australia, Australia
Birth 13 November 1895
Death 14 January 1964

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/186 ... ro-valenti

Could not find the death certificate itself though.

Sometimes an annotation is made on the original birth act giving date and place of death if they remained in Italy.

Where were these ancestors born?

Here is the death act in 1893 for Giuseppe Domenico Modugno.
#529
Dated 8 June 1893. Death on 7 June
Giuseppe was age 70, son of deceased Crescendo Modugno and deceased Lucia Altomare.
He was the widower of Maria Domenica Spadavecchia, and the husband of Faustina Coppolecchia..

Here is Rosa Modugno's birth act in 1869.
(#479)
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 61/wWXlgk2

There are two annotations for marriages, but none for her death.
Marriage in 1890 (#204) to Antonio Valente.
Marriage on 12 March 1932 to Nicola Scarangella.

So Rosa was still living in 1932.

Digital records for Molfetta end in 1900.
