Good morning, first excuse me for my very bad english!

I am an Italian boy, I live in Padova (near Venice), during this period I am searching for the history of my family; I know that one of my grandmothers: Giuditta Gallo, was emigrated in America in the 1898 or 1889 with the complete family:

Father: Antonio Berto;
Mother: Giuditta Gallo;
Sons: Giovanni Berto and Maria Teresa Berto;

If it's possible I would like to have some informations about this peoples; please help me!!

Perhaps you could provide more information to help us find this family in US records.

What is the year of birth for Antonio and Giuditta and their children? Do you know what US state they settled in?

What town in Italy were they from?

Sorry but the only things I know is:

1. Gallo Giuditta was born in 01 may 1852;

2. Gallo Giuditta, Berto Antonio, Berto Giovanni and Berto Maria Teresa left Italy in 08 may 1898 or 1889;

3. In Italy they lived near Padova, exact name of the country is: Boara Pisani;

Sorry but I don't know what is the birth date of Antonio, Giovanni and Maria Teresa and I don't know in where country of America they arrived..

Could you help me in some ways??

Didn't find a census for 1900 0r 1910 that looked promising. Searching without a location can be difficult.

On this he is traveling alone. He is from South Italy. Older manifest without alot of detail.

Can you check with the town vital records officer and get birth years for the children and wife? It would help to find them. It can be helpful to search for all available information in Italy, before crossing the ocean. The more we know about this family, the easier it is to find them.

Do you have any letters or postcards they mailed to Italy? Postmarks can be very helpful.

LDS has a record for Judith Galo - born in Veneza, Italy abt 1853 - died 4/7/1940 - married 1874 to Antonio Berto. It lists her parents as Antonio Galo & Regina (no surname). Lds shows his birth year as 1851 but no location & no parents.

maybe this Judith Gallo was right! I know that Antonio Gallo was a brother of Giuditta and Regina was thr mother of Giuditta..

Check the Italain birth records to get a date of birth for Giovanni and Maria Teresa Berto. This will help find them.

They are probably the ones that landed on 01.06.1888 in Fanfulla vessel in the port of Santos - São Paulo.
And maybe my ancestors too, am researching ...
My great great grandfather was called Angelo Berto, and are said to have been born during the migration, still inside the ship.

Questa famiglia citata da Marco Gallo è già in Family Search, Giuditta Gallo e Antonio Berto hanno avuto un figlio sulla barca Fanfulla il 23/05/1888, è il mio trisavolo (Angelo Berto), ho trovato il suo disco realizzato dal capitano Emanuelle Carbone. Giuditta Gallo nacque a Moncelise e Antonio Berto ad Anguillara Veneta, si sposò e si trasferì a Boara Pisani, nel 1888 arrivarono in Brasile.
Giuditta Gallo, che ha lasciato questo mondo nella città di Sorocaba a San Paolo, il mio bisnonno ha lasciato una lettera e dice che era una bravissima persona per lui ... questa città, Sorocaba, è dove sono nato.

This family cited by Marco Gallo is already in Family Search, Giuditta Gallo and Antonio Berto had a son on the Fanfulla boat on 05/23/1888, he is my great-great-grandfather (Angelo Berto), I found his record made by Captain Emanuelle Carbone. Giuditta Gallo was born in Moncelise and Antonio Berto in Anguillara Veneta, got married and moved to Boara Pisani, in 1888 they came to Brazil.
