Need help! Obtaining Italian stamps

We are in the USA and have been in touch with our GGM's comune to send her birth record for Italian citizenship. They refuse unless we provide a self-addressed envelope (which we have done) along with Italian stamps. Would anyone in Italy (or elsewhere if you have the proper stamps) be willing to ...

Thanks @sorriso00 I'd seen that page, too, and have been considering the legal route.

Efficient and helpful comuni in Italy for JS?

We are strongly considering avoiding the very long consulate wait (in Los Angeles it's looking minimum 3+ years and they're not even currently making reservations) and going to Italy next year to apply for our jus sanguinis citizenship directly.

At this point we're familiar (on paper) with the ...

Re: DIY jure sanguinis citizenship?

Thanks, @mler. Unfortunately LA is not currently booking citizenship appointments (they say due to Covid) and the calendar already shows July 2023 being the earliest possible appointment even once they do start taking appointments again. And I did find some very qualified translators so feel ...

Re: Help finding valid naturalization records!

Thank you @mler and @bbivona! I've filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) with USCIS to get their naturalization records but I don't have a whole lot of confidence in the US Govt sending them (due to Covid and general ineptitude) in a reasonable amount of time. Understanding NARA is also not ...

Help finding valid naturalization records!

We are building our case files for Italian citizenship via jure sanguinis and we have found petitions for naturalization records online (via Ancestry.com) and 1 photo (from family) of great-grandfathers naturalization card.

Question: I have read that there is no centralized database for ...

Re: DIY jure sanguinis citizenship?

Thank you so much @bbivona. That's very helpful. I wonder how much translation services might cost, but that's something that I could look into.

DIY jure sanguinis citizenship?

We're wondering how hard it is and how much money we might save doing the jure sanguinis citizenship process ourselves (vs using an agency -- I have another post wondering if any good recommendations for agencies). Our Italian relative is a great-grandparent and we've found most of the important ...

Citizenship Application Services

Hi -- does anyone have any recommendations with service agencies such as ItalianSide, info@italiancitizenshipassistance.com, or any other agencies to help with the process of citizenship via jure sanguinis? We recently found supporting documentation that we qualify via jure sanguinis via relatives ...
