Naturalization.....

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Naturalization.....

Post by wldspirit »

A trip to the federal courthouse uncovered the following,
Settimio Cupi, my bisnonno, filed his petition for naturalization on 8-7-1928, was admitted 1-9-1929.
My bisnonna, Angela Cupi, filed her petition on 11-3-1941, was admitted
6-8-1942.
All of their children were born before 1925, my question then, how does this affect their childrens status as US citizens?
Also, were there laws pertaining to how long you could stay in this country without becoming a citizen? They emmigrated in 1906 and 1908.

What country were the children born in? The USA or Italy?
