We are searching for information about the following individuals who we believe were located in Simbario, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy. We are traveling to the area in October and would like to find records and perhaps related family members.

Francesco Valente (1866 - 1936) married Rosa Tassone (1863 - 1938).
Children:
1. Nicola Valenti (1893 - 1926) immigrated to Michigan USA (1910). He married Mary Rose Donato (1898 - 1969) in Michigan USA. She was the daughter of Rocco Donato and Maria Stella Roti.
2. Antonio Valenti (1895 - 1983) immigrated to Michigan USA. He married Lisa Betha Carello about 1915 in Michigan. She was the daughter of Dominic (Tony) Carello and Concetta Roti.
3. Bernina Valenti/Valente
4. Concetta Valenti/Valente (1905 - ?)
5. Salvatore Valenti/Valente
6. Catherin Valenti/Valente (? - 1983)

Francesco Valente may have been the son of Nicola Valente and Concetta Roti.
Rosa Tassone may have been the daughter of Antonio Tassone.
Siblings of Rose Tassone may include Francesco, Marion, Rosario, Bruno, Dominic B.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A little bit too late for answering, but my Granfather( francesco Tassone) and my father (Giuseppe) were born in Simbario, Italy.
I know, two brothers of my Granfather emigrated in the US at the beginning of the last century 19xx ?

We had a wonderful time in Simbario and Spadola. I took a number of photographs in the cemeteries there. I've posted those on Findagrave.com. I know this post is old, but thought I'd reply. My mother was Rosemarie Tassoni; her mother was Antoinette, father Dominic--both born in Simbario. Settled in Minnesota. My mother's siblings were Bruno, Tony, Joe, Mayme, Jim. Not sure if this is the same, but I was struck by the names you had listed. Thanks.

This question is mostly for Simofamily. You said you had a grandfather named Francesco Tassone and a father, Giuseppe. Would you happen to know the names of your uncles? I am looking for descendants of a Francesco Tassone who had sons Giuseppe, Giovanni, Domenico and Bruno. They were all four sent to a padrone in Providence, RI around 1895. They were all born in one of the little villages outside Serra San Bruno. I could be off by a generation, but thought I would ask.
