@suanj
my grandfather came back in Italy at last, but this is a sad story. He had lost 5 of his 7 children while he was in US, when he came back his wife died. He found nothing of all the money he had send to Italy, and even his house was half-sold out.
One of the sons who survived was my father, my uncle was killed in 2nd WW.

I'd like to find more about my unluky but strong ancestor
thanks again for the researches

Ciao Paolo,

Grazie Laura,

grazie
Paolo

Hello Paolo,
I recently came across your genealogical messages on this website. I think I can provide some of the information you are looking for.
Regarding Cristofaro Lopez, he worked for the Bay State Street Railway on Hancock Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. You can find a picture of their facility here: https://www.digitalcommonwealth.org/sea ... :ff365n66c
Information about the company itself can be found here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay_Sta ... et_Railway

About Giacomo Durante, do you know who his parents were?

John
