He's another mystery! This 1920 record is my father's family, all of whom i've known, and is correct with the exception of child #4, Vincient----this child is exactly the same age as my father and was baptized "Vincent". My father never used the name Vincent, he grew up as Charles. His sister Mary said that Chrles and Vincent are the same and had no explaination as to why the name change. There is no known deceased twin or otherwise missing child in the family. i have gotten back as far as the 1910 census with Rosa and that's where the trail has stopped. I'll followup on the last 2 findings; however, Giusseppe Giunta is not a known family name. a thnx

Grazie. I'LL KEEP PURSUING JOE JUNTA--HAVE A COUSIN WHO IS OLD ENUF TO REMEMBER GRANDPA PAOLO. NEXT, HOW WOULD I GET TO RECORDS FROM SANTO STEFANO ONLINE? IF THEY ARE ONLINE.
No, they aren't online... But you're lucky because the Mormons microfilmed the civil registrations of the town of Santo Stefano Quisquina... You may contact your nearest Family History Center:

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library ... et_fhc.asp

and ask to rent some of their microfilms... you'll be able to find by yourself the vital records of your ancestors...

Just for example, this microfilm may contain Paolo Giunta's birth act:

Nati (Births) 1862-1888
FHL INTL Film 2016233

on the birth act you'll find his parents name (and his mother's maiden names), the address were he was born, his parents occupation etc...

check here to find the town microfilmed:

Thank you all. Yes, I've beena way for a year but have been working. Have found the Giuntas to 1778, the Pullaras/os to 1815. The earliest date I have for a part of the family is 1772--but have others identified earlier than that. Am planning a trip to Sicily in Sept. Has anyone been to Santo Stefano Quisquina, Sciliy to research? would love your input. Marriage doc of Paolo Giunta and Rosa (Concetta) Filocco missing--hope to find church record ~1888-1891. S Nicolo de Bari Catholic church is still there. The Giunta and Pullara Caiazza families are related to the following families from Santo Stafano Q: Filocco, Salvaggio, Greco Ina, Scolaro, Pizzo, Tagliarino, Cannella, Giammartino, gaifaglione, di Leto, Ciccarello, Capitano, Turo, Greco, Lo Presti, Genco.
