Where are my ancestors from?

Post by sams »

When entering the birth place, marriage place, or death location information into my database which would be correct?
Are my ancestors from Bivona, Agrigento, Sicily
or are they from Bivona, Agrigento, Italy.

in Italy we almost never use the Region name. In my genealogical DB I entered all the Italian locations as: town-name, province-name, Italia. For Bivona it would be:
Bivona, Agrigento, Italia
