Family Search Records

Many of us were leveraging the family search 1809-1865 l'Aquila images. Very happy with the new familysearch site and the available records... But a few weeks ago the l'aquila records went offline... Come to find out they are now restricted due to the "ownership agreement" - which would either be the Italian archives and/or Italian government. Is anyone up to speed on this? Is there someone we can reach out to within the Italian Archives to change this? Thanks... See message below.. So.. the records are still available, but very difficult to go thru vs. evening hours online at home.

We are very sorry for the inconvience on this restriction. The restriction has always been there on this collection. It is based upon the agreement we have with the provider of the original documents. It is only recently that our software was able to reach a point where this restriction could enforced. The collections can only be viewed at one of our family history centers.

All this means is that the State Archives in L'Aquila have said NO ON LINE PUBICATION OF OUR RECORDS.
YOu can still view them at the centre on microfilm.

Yesterday I found out that FS has started the indexing of these records.
