Sirna/Di Franco/Gargliano - San Fratello

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this site. I'm trying to find out any information I can about my relatives from San Fratello, Sicily who immigrated to the Bronx NY around 1906 and then to Canada in 1932.

My great grandfather's name was Guiseppe Joseph Sirna, married to Maria Di Franco who died in 1932 (had two sons - Anthony and Sam), he was re-married to Theresa Gargliano (not sure if that is spelled correctly) and they had two children: Antoinetta and Henry whom were both born in Canada..

If anyone has any information please please respond : )

Marty, I believe the date in the margin is 23 August 1924.
Here is the arrival manifest in Sept. 1924 for Giuseppe Sirna and his wife, Maria Di Franco, from San Fratello.
BTW - they are listed as Canadian Citizens... and their final destination is Ottawa.

Tessa78 I believe the people you are talking about are my great grandparents. I am from Ottawa and those are both there names. This is amazing. Thank you. I am so desperate for any information I can get as my grandfather never knew his grandparents...so I'm digging to see what I can find.

Here is a later arrival (March 1933) with his wife, Teresa Gagliani.
He is listed as a Canadian citizen, with a Canadian passport.
She is listed as an Italian citizen.

Here is the birth act in 1860 of Giuseppe Sirna's mother, Maria Antonia di Pasquale.

Appearing before the official was the midwife, Catarina S???, 64...to present a child born to Benedetta R???? , age 33, residing in San Fratello Via ??? Piazza; and to Giuseppe di Pasquale, 43, farmer... born today at 4 PM at the home of the couple.. The child was given the name MARIA ANTONIA
She was baptized the same day at the parish church of San Nicolo.

Appearing before the official was the midwife, Catarina Santoro, 65, to present a male child born to Eloisa di Pasquale, age 23, and to Cirino Sirna, age 28, farmer. The child was born that day at 8 AM in the home of the couple, and was given the name ANTONINO
Baptized on 8 October at the parish church of San Nicolo.
