Maria Baglione,Cerignola, Foggia

Post by Catom »

Maria was my gr. grandmother & was a foundling in Cerignola. Does anyone know if its possible to ever find out her real parents names. Her death record in Phila., Pa. USA gives her parents names as Guiseppe & Maria Staffieri. However, that is the names of her husbands parents. Could it be possible they raised her?? Any insight on this would be welcome. Thanks!

Very tough to find foundlings parents unless they recognized here later maybe they got married after her birth

Did she marry in Italy if so where and when and to whom it would say on that marriage act if her parents recognized her
