Proof of USA Naturalization

[jbeltrami]

We are researching my grandparents and if they ever became citizens. Grandfather was Nazzareno Beltrami (AKA Nagarano). He was born in 1888 and came here as a non immigrant alien in 1911. His wife stayed in Italy as she was pregnant. His ship to US was Duca D'Aosta out of Genova. Thru 1925 he was listed as alien. No records in 1930 or 1940. Died in 1943. Grandmother was Giovana (aka Josephine) Beltrami (nee Paci). In 1940 census, she was listed as alien as well. Town of origin may have been Cartoceto (Province of Pesaro). Any guidance appreciated.

In the 1930 Census he is still listed as an Alien. (The SURNAME is spelled horrible wrong)

In the 1940, I do not find Nazzareno, but I do find Josephine (listed as Alien) and some of the children but it could be someone else. Here is the link.
