Looking for extended family history for Pasquale Desimone, emigrated to the USA in 1890 or 1892 and resided in Utica, New York. He Married Mary Louise Lufrano in 1896.
So Far I know that my great grandfather Pasquale was the son of Angelo DeSimone and Giovanna Grassi. He had two brothers Francesco and Alejandro.
His obituary indicates he was from Santagato Diagato, Italy and that he emigrated in 1890, however a passport issued in 1922 indicates he was born in Laiano, Italy and that he first emigrated in 1892. This passport was used to return to Italy to settle an estate.
My great grandmother was Mary Louise Lufrano daughter of Matteo Lufrano b1836-d1919 and Maria Antonia b1835-7 d1921 in Utica, NY. I believe she went by Louisa and not Maria
Any help in locating more ancestor both living and dead would be so helpful.

The town sounds like it is probably Sant'Agata de' Goti

Laiano, Sant'Agata Dei Goti, province of Benevento, region of Campania. He was born June 13, 1874 0r 75

Strange. I was unable to locate a birth act for Pasquale Desimone in the 1873 to 1876 San'Agata records on Antenati.

Laiano is a frazione (hamlet) of the comune of Sant'Agata de' Goti....records would be in the comune where Biff searched.alching wrote: 24 Oct 2018, 02:25 Biff83,
