Looking for information on ABRUZZO/FRISCIA

Hi. I'm looking for information on my great-grandparents:

FRANCESCO ABRUZZO I believe was born January 14, 1890 in Sicily.

ANNA FRISCIA was born October 16, 1895 in Sciacca, Sicily. Her parents were FRANCESO FRISCIA (born around 1860 and her mother was ALFONSA SOLDANO (born around 1865).

Here is the birth act of Anna Friscia (#646) Sciacca
Date of birth 19 October 1895
F: Francesco, 36, sailor
M: Alfonsa Soldano, his wife

I also checked the birth indices in Sciacca from 1888-1897 and did not find Francesco Abbruzzo.
Do you know what year they married? Did they marry in Italy?

Tessa, they were married in NYC.

As for FRANCESCO ABRUZZO’ birth, I just found out that he was adopted! Would there be a way to search males by the birthdate??

You would need to know the exact town of birth.


Maybe the town is listed on their NYC marriage (though this is unlikely - usually only lists "Italy")
