Translate Letter From Pietraperzia

Post by imwormer »

Could someone please translate this letter from the comune Pietraperzia. I had wrote to them well over a year ago about the birth records of my great grandfather Salvatore Di Marco. Does this indicate by the receipt of this letter that there's information on file?

Thanking You,
James De Marco

It indicates that the cost of research and shipping is 15 euro. They want it paid by bank transfer. The Codice BIC is the swift code and the 27 digit number is the IBAN code. You'll need those for an international transfer. The last line means the payee is Comune di Pietraperzia Ufficio Stato Civile. (Town of Pietraperzia, Civil Status Office.) The street address is Via San Domenico 5.

Bank transfer is the norm for payments there. I probably haven't written a check off my accounts over there in 5 years.

My guess is that they have something to send you in response to a request that you made, but want payment before sending.

Thank You so much for your response bbivona, I've made the mistake taking a chance with sending cash in the past.

If you send it from a U.S. bank, they're probably going to want the recipient bank name and address. With that swift code, it should be:

Unicredit S.p.A.
C.So Vitt.Emanuele
94012 Barrafranca (EN)

Telephone
