I am looking for any information from Busso on the family of Giuseppe Picciano and Vittoria Luberto. Giuseppe's birthdate may be Feb 1856 and Vittoria's Mar 1862. They had 2 sons while still in Italy, Congetto (b.1884) and Domenico (b.1886). Giuseppe and Vittoria are my great grand parents. Thank you Mary Jean Picciano

There's a bit of a mystery here. Giuseppe Picciano's birth record indicates that he is the son of Mariantonia Picciano and her fiance Ferdinando Ziccardi. The record even indicates that his name is Giuseppe Picciano Ziccardi. Yet his marriage record states that his father is unknown. There appears to be no marriage record between Mariantonia Picciano and her fiance Ferdinando Ziccardi. In fact, an age-correct Ferdinando Ziccardi married Caterina Palladino in 1858 (he again married in 1896 as a widower). Was Ferdinando Ziccardi the father of Giuseppe Picciano and later broke off the engagement; or was there a different unknown father which circumstance led to the end of the engagement?
