I I received this note back from a request to help write a letter to Italy. Is there a research company closer to Montefusco and how much in AMerican dollars would this cost me + IVA What is IVA?

Hello, my name is Charles Parente, Jr. I am the grandson of Alesandro Parente. He was born in Montefusco, Italy on August 16 or 26 1879. The Ellis Island web site shows he immigrated from Naples, Italy on February 28, 1902 on the ship The Lombardia and arrived in New York on March 16, 1902. I am looking for confirmation that he did leave on that day and also on that ship. I would also like a family historical cerfificate. Such as birth, baptism, marriage application, marriage act, jobs he may have had or any other information you are able to locate. Any information on his parents or brothers and sisters would be helpful.

Charles,
you can request civil records to ufficio di stato civile, no church records like baptism certificate. Remember, when you send a request to ufficio stato civile be always specific, otherwise ufficio stato civile is not going to answer you, because don't know what to send you.
I let you request:
birth certificate, integral copy of birth act, marriage application, marriage certificate and historical family certificate

so write like that

My question to you is when I write to the Ufficio di Stato Civile, what information do they provided? If they do not have birth certificates, birth act, marruage application marriage certificate and historical family certificate, what do the provide?

I will write to the church and ask for birth certificates, birth act, marriage application marriage certificate and historical family certificate.

The Ufficio di Stato civile provides you the certificate from a civil record, if it exist. Otherwise they are going to write you that they don't have the civil acts of your ancestors.

The parish is not going to issue civil certificate, but only church certificate like baptism certificate (not birth certificate), marriage certificate and funeral certificate (not death certificate)

Hi does anyone have a blank copy of a petition and declaration of naturalization from some time around 1914. I received the copy of my grandfathers and it is very difficult to read. If I had a clear copy mayby I could understand what it was indicating.
