Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if someone can help me in trying to find my great grandfather Sebastiano's birth certificate and death certificate. I have perused all the birth records of 1865 on Familysearch. Also have checked Antenati.
Sebastiano married Giovannangela Di Mella in 1886 and had my grandmother Giuseppa Gioia born 23 October 1899 (born Santa Croce dal Sannio, Benevento).
Sebastiano's fathers name was Mariangelo Gioia.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Next step is to write to the town for these records. They have not yet been digitized for the period after 1860.

You might check the Marriage Allegati (attachments) to Giuseppa's marriage for some additional records (Sebastiano's death act would be there if he were deceased at the time of her marriage).
The annotation on Giuseppa's birth act gives marriage as 27 November 1921 in S. Croce, to Nicola Zeoli.

NOTE: There is an annotation on his birth act that he married Rosaria Zeoli in 1926. Possibly a second marriage?

If the above birth act in 1865 for Sebastiano Gioia is correct, then here is a sibling born in 1883.
This birth act gives you ANOTHER generation back for the father and mother...
