Two birth records for same relative

I found 2 birth records for the same relative. Does anyone know why this happens or whether there is something unusual here?

These are two different children.
The first was born in July 1878, and most likely died before the second child was born.

The given name Serafina must have been meaningful in the family.

You might want to search for a death act for the first Serafina between July 1878 and Oct 1881.
