Birth Record Translation
Re: Birth Record Translation
Nicolo' Pizaro born Feb 10,1877 at 3:30 P.M. to Filippo Pizaro, age 30, a peasant living in Cefalu and his wife Angiola Vilardo, who was living with him, in the house at #7 Via Municipio.
The father, Filippo, declared the birth at the town hall, and presented the newborn, but did not sign the document below, as he was illiterate.

I read the surname as Piraro. Also checked the index https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=484099
Re: Birth Record Translation
Yes, Livio, you are correct. The surname is Piraro. Glad you saw my error. Thanks. Hope you and your family are doing well.

Re: Birth Record Translation
I just wanted to reply and say thank you so much. Turned out this is NOT my GGF, but rather his first cousin, as Filippo Piraro is my GGGF’s brother (Salvatore? who lived next door at #6!
It’s taken me a while to build out the family tree, but this was a big help.
Thanks again!
