Seen here is the birth record of Maria Sorrentino, daughter of Domenico and Anna Peluso, in Palma Campania in 1856. I would appreciate any help finding the parents' marriage record as I've had no luck -- or any information regarding the mother Anna Peluso. Thank you!

Since both surnames are very highly concentrated all over Campania, I'd suggest expanding your search but it may be difficult. They were most likely from a nearby commune (or communes) and their marriage (and births) may not have even taken place in Palma Campania...

Are these records something that can be accessed (or can asked to be accessed) via email or only in person?

There are no online records of parish registers in Palma Campania. You have to contact the Diocesan Historical Archives and ask if they can do short searches. Searches are generally done in person, but there may be times when they can also do research by mail if they are not very busy.
