It is entirely possible that the mother was mislabled on the death certificate as the step mom since whoever reported Michele's death could have only known of the step mom. The birth document is obvious the accurate document since it was made at birth.
No record of Carlo and Teresa's marriage between 1811-1814 in the Stella district so you have one choice: you can spend a month slowly browsing the indexes of every district of Naples for every year hoping you find Michele's wedding or his parents' deaths. Its a shot in the dark search, which is usually not that bad but Naples is big so it'll take time.
Good luck.
Michele Aiani, his history, connection to Raul Aiani?

TIP: When asking for records from Italy, do NOT ask for an "estratto." ALWAYS ask for a "copia integrale." A photocopy of the original Act will contain more information

Anizio, thank you for that.
I don't have the time to search all those documents you specified....hopefully something will surface at some point?
Thanks again!

Hi again! Does anyone know the church in Naples where Michele was baptized by any chance? My parents will be in Naples tomorrow and it would be lovely for them to potentially go into the church of her ancestor!
