Hi everyone, new to this site. My father-in-law was born in Verceia, Italy in 1914. His name is Valentino Falcinella. His parents were Paolo and Maria (Curti) Falcinella. He had to our knowledge a further 4 brothers and 1 sister. Is there a good starting point to find out further information? thanks so much

This is the birth act of Valentino Lorenzo Falcinella born on 10-05-1914.
His father Paolo Pietro was 43 yo so his brothes and sister should have been born previously.

Farassino, I am very grateful for the research provided. Thankyou. Would there be information in relation the the birth certificates for his parents - Paolo and Maria?

My husband thinks that the sister may have died shortly after birth or stillborn. Felice, we think, died prior to reaching his 20's. Not sure why. Is there a death certificate for this also? I really appreciate the help

Birth No 16 Pietro Paolo Battista Falcinella
Registered in Verceia on 8 July 1867

Appearing before the official was Pietro Falcinelli, 37 yo, contadino, living in Verceia, the son of Giovanni (Falcinella). He presented a baby boy who he declared was born on the day 5 July 1867, at 3 pm, from his wife Martina Starlucchi (different spelling here, clerk probably wrote down what he heard), the daughter of the deceased Francesco, living with him. The baby was given the name Pietro Paolo Battista and was born in the place they lived in Verceia at Civico No 24/26? The other names there are those witnessing the birth registration proceedings.

Side Annotation: On 16 February 1902 marries with Maria Curti in Verceia, Act No 3.

Just looking for some further information on Antonio. Upon some further research, we believe that he had joined the Army and was killed during WW2 during 1940 -1945. There is a War Memorial Monument in Verceia that has a list of fallen and missing soldiers and his name appears on that.

Are there any records available. Thankyou
