I have searched for the birth act of Salvatore Marcellino in San Giovanni di Gerace, and the town of Grotteria to which the village belongs, without success. Several years of births are missing.

Here is a POSSIBLE birth act for Maria Caterina Vumbaca in December 1894 in Grotteria.

Dated 19 December 1894 - birth on same day.
Father: Nicodemo Vumbaca, 40, laborer
Mother: Elisabetta Panetta, his wife
Child given the name Maria Caterina
