Hello All!
I am trying to find more information on Salvatore D'Angelo & wife Cristina Calianese (Caglianese) & their respective families.
Salvatore & Cristina would be my great-great grandparents. I have plenty of information on Salvatore's children, but do not have anything prior.
On Salvatore's petition for naturalization after immigrating to the United States, it is listed he was born in Contursi, Italy on Oct 25, 1879 and arrived on the vessel "Saale" from Napoli in 1899. Cristina was also born in Contursi.
Salvatore is listed as having a "coal mark" on his lip prior to naturalization and his occupation within the US was a miner. I saw another thread on this site, titled "Matteo D'Angelo", with the name Salvatore D'Angelo mentioned, but the listed birth dates were off by ~20 years.
Any information/documents/pictures on Salvatore & Cristina's family or any other finds is greatly appreciated -- thank you!
