My grandfather Romano Viller came to Australia in 19454 for work as a cane cutter, and all he ever said was he was Italian, which I'm unsure about as after he died I found the extract of his birth certificate which said he was born in Slovenia and led me to scratch my head but it did give me limited details about his parents.
What I'm trying to find out is more about his parents and any info you can find on them as I'm stuck.

Hello Mick,
When your grandfather was born that area was Italian.
This is an excerpt from an online enciclopedia:
Assigned to Italy from Austria-Hungary after World War I, at the end of World War II it was part of the Zone B of the Free Territory of Trieste, controlled by Yugoslavia. Most of the Italian inhabitants left the city by 1954, when the Free Territory of Trieste formally ceased to exist and Zone B became part of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. In 1977, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Koper was separated from the Diocese of Trieste.
Unfortunately it is very difficult to find vital records online.

When Romano passed away i did find an envelope that was unopened, it contained Biagios's funeral photos which to me looks very big as it's got lots of flowers and even some musicians, would be good to find where he was buried.
I'll Attach the photos for you to see.
