Bernardo Stilla marries giovanna Friya
Re: Bernardo Stilla marries giovanna Friya
Record is top left
Nov 1, 1727
Groom: Bernardo Stilla, legitimate and natural son of Paolo and deceased Anna Stilla. He was never before married, of this town.
Bride: Giuseppa Friya, widow of deceased Paolo Trumbaturi* ( the record has Friya as his surname and Trumbaturi as hers, but Friya for her parents). of this town. Legitimate and natural daughter of deceased Natale and Anna Friya of this town.
*
I believe there is a mistake in this record. I think Trumbaturi was the surname of Giuseppa’s late husband.

Re: Bernardo Stilla marries giovanna Friya
Can Anna's maiden name be Maringo? I see Joseph Maringo not far behind Anna
Thanks for the translation and observation

Re: Bernardo Stilla marries giovanna Friya
Sorry, Linda. Don Giuseppe Maringo was the priest or deacon who joined the couple in matrimony. Giacomo Vetrano and the other person Francesco N (?) were witnesses. The next record begins immediately after Francesco’s last name.

BTW, the bride in the next record happens to be a Rosaria Maringo. Anyway, Don Giuseppe Maringo married her, and others on these pages as well.

The death of one Paolo Trombatore, aged about 40, on 24 December 1723 is recorded here. It is not recorded whether he was married, or to whom. Nor is it recorded who his parents were. He was buried in the church of S. Andrea Apostolo.
