In the index for town records, does "Patria" refer to place of birth or place of current residence?

In the context of civil record indices, "Patria" would generally refer to place of birth. Please post a link to the indices you are referring to. Thanks.

Thank you for posting. Yes Patria definitely is referring to the deceased's birth town. If you look at the indices which have a different town recorded under Patria e.g. No 129, and then locate the relevant birth record, the place of birth recorded in the Death Record matches what is written under Patria.
