Di Sano help!

Post by Yazzerino »

I'm struggling to find my information on my great-grandmother's lineage. Her name is Camillia Di Sano (1896-1981), and I've been able to find her birth record, and that her father was named Sabatino Di Sano and her mother Domenica Di Paolo. But I'm really struggling to find anything more concrete about them, especially any records for Sabatino

Her record is here if that's helpful

As always grateful for any help

Here is the birth of Sabatino in 1868 (#8)
He is the son of Antonio Di Sano ( who is the son of Luigi); and of Maria Rosa del Biondo, his wife, daughter of deceased Stanislao.
Birth on 7 March 1868.

And the marriage of Sabatino and Domenica on 25 January 1894 (#2)

There are two Sabatino Di Sano born in 1868 in Brittoli.
One is act #8 (posted above) and the other is act #10.
Looking at the wedding act and at the birth extract in the allegati it looks like that the right Sabatino is the one with act #10 born on 11 April with Camillo (son of Antonio) and Anna Di Persio (daughter of fu Vincenzo) as parents.
Here’s the original act:

Yes, the father of Sabatino is Camillo.
My apologies for posting the incorrect birth act..

Here is the birth act of Camillo Di Sano in 1831 (#24)
Birth on 2 May 1831 to Antonio Di Sano, 30, peasant farmer, and to Teresa di Pietro, 20, his wife.
Baptized the same day.

The last place Im stuck (I hope) is finding Pasquale Ranalli, Born:06 Jul 1903 Civitaquana, Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy's wife. I cant find any mention of her.

Someone in my family said her name was Fiorina Ricchia and her father was Franco. But I'm unsure if im spelling it correctly of even, if they remembered correctly. Any more infmoration about her/ her parents would unlock me to finsih up the family tree!

For reference...

Pasquale Ranalli
Vital • Italy, Pescara, Civil Registration (State Archive), 1809-1929

Name Pasquale Ranalli
Sex Male
Father's Name Rocco Ranalli
Mother's Name Teresa Carusi
Event Type Birth
Event Date 6 luglio 1903
Event Place Civitaquana, Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy
Event Place (Original) Pescara, null, Italy
Pasquale Ranalli's Parents and Siblings
Rocco Ranalli Father M
Teresa Carusi Mother F

As to his possible wife Fiorina - the surname in Civitaquana is spelled R[be[/b]cchia.

Was Pasquale Ranalli married in Italy? or elsewhere?

EDIT TO ADD:

Here is the publication of marriage banns for Rocco Ranalli and Teresa Caroso (spelling here) in October 1889 in Civitaquana.
Rocco is born in Civitaquana to Pasqualantonio Ranalli and Donata Mucci.
Teresa is born in Catignano to Nicola Caroso and Angela Nicola d'Agresta

Likely that the marriage took place in Catignano.

Continuing...

Here is the marriage act in Catignano on 5 November 1889 of Rocco Ranalli and Teresa Caroso.
#16
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 82/5xpvMNV

NOTE: I have searched extensively through available records in Civitaquana for a Franco Recchia without success. Births are not available after 1902 online, so I could not search for Fiorina (assuming she was born there.)

I searched for possible siblings of Fiorina in Civitaquana, but only found children born to a Pasquale Recchia... no Franco.

BUT... I did find a Franco Recchia, 24, arriving to the Port of Boston in 1904 from Catignano.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... n&groupId=

There are 2 Franco Recchia born in Catignano in 1880.
Further study required :D as there appears to be many Franco Recchia born in Catignano
#22 - son of Domenicantonio Recchia and Rachele di Lorenzo
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 54/5VYZldJ
#27 - son of Emidio Recchia and Rosa di Profio
