Looking for an ~1866 Birth Record from Bagheria

Post by jamesm113 »

Rosalia Tripoli, son of Guglielmo Tripoli and Dorotea Ficano. Both of Bagheria.

Married Domenico Corso on 13 July 1890 in Santo Stefano Quisquina, age 24, born in Bagheria.

I'd also love to find the civil marriage record, but haven't had any luck.

There are civil marriage records for Santo Stefano on family search even though the icon shows they are not available online. Unfortunately, the publications skip from 1889 to 1892 and the marriage acts skip from 1889 to 1895.

Why do you think that Bagheria was the birth place of Domenico Corso? In the online birth records for years around 1866, the surname Corso is not found in the indices there.

There’s a baptism record for Domenico Corso in Santo Stefano Quisquina dated Dec 26, 1865. correct parents. record #216, bottom right. It says 146 cropped at the top.

I can’t decipher the correct date of birth. Perhaps mmogno will have time to take a look and clarify this info. Have to run for now.

Thank you!

I should have been more clear - Rosalia was age 24, born in Bagheria when was married Domenico in Santo Stefano Quisquina. Domenico was born in Santo Stefano Quisquina.

Do you think it's likely the records are lost or just not available online?

The only 1890 civil records for Bagheria that I see online at family search are atti di Cittadinanza on film #007101177. There are no other 1890 records there, even though the film should have births, marriage publications, marriage acts, and death records too. Even the marriage allegati film skips from1889 to 1891. I don’t know the reason why 1890 acts are missing. Sorry.
