RE:DEATH RECORDS INDEX FOR REGGIO CALABRIA

i posted a query last year regarding a search for a death record in reggio calabria. paolo labate. died between 1872 and 1927. let me explain the big time gap. his son orazio was born in 1872 so we know he was living then.he was born in 1827 so the end date of 1927 gives him a full century of possible longevity. breaking it down i checked all yearly indexes as well as 10 year indexes and found nothing in that 55 year time period. his wife fortunata labate died in 1906 stating she was married at the time of her death,so assuming this was correct,this narrows his possible years of death to 1907-1927. but again i find nothing in those years,and its highly unlikely he left reggio calabria as a man of 80 years. my guess is he possibly died in the 1908 earthquake and his death was not recorded in the standard yearly indexes. is there a separate index for victims of the 1908 earthquake available? any help or suggestions appreciated.
