Re: Mandarino
the parish rarely they reply... however you can to test for the request in the Commons near Lauria... that your ancestor was born abt 1845/50 is no a problem because in south Italy the civil records starting from 1809...

Re: Mandarino
they don't reply .. also in Italy is very rare... from my experience in all this years I receveid only a reply from a kind priest, and from another I had write to bishop for to obtain a reply by priest.. the others... nobody.. I believe that it is necessary to make a large donation for to obtain a reply..........

Re: Mandarino
I read on the first message:
Valentino Mandarino was born on May 7, 1844 and emigrated to Uruguay
but from the marriage act, in the 1903..................... it seems born in 7 May 1864 and the spouse also in 1864... as it possible that it was born in 1844 and married in 1903? he was so old for a marriage...!!
maybe in this search it are some errors.. this is a helpful part of marriage act of Valentino MANDARINO... if someone can read the birthdate and marriage date..

Re: Mandarino
If you given the 1844 as probable birthyear is sure that the italian officers don't found it! I read 1864 and I believe that in your infos it are some errors, because Valentino married the 7 April 1903 if I read very well... I hope that the other members can read the date (in spanish) but it is very easy ... please to help with handwriting....I read: marriage 7 april 1903...; birth 7 May 1864.... the spouse Dona Leonarda BUENO is born in december 1864....

Re: Mandarino
the marriage was the 17 of April of 1913,it contracted marriage either with its great children or
teresita has the certificate of birth of all its children and was the one that registered them,in the matronial file it says its date of birth 7 of May of 1844,but we thought that it can less have an error of some years or but by the age that declared when writing down their childre.
so that in the age of its wife there is error according to its birth certificate
we thought that I emigrate to Uruguay between 1860/1870

Re: Mandarino
There are mistakes..for instance in his death record it says another year of birth. But this may be due to the fact that his son was not aware of his birth year, etc.suanj wrote:If you given the 1844 as probable birthyear is sure that the italian officers don't found it! Re: Mandarino
Yes, he was married in 1913. But this is not an error. Valentino chose to be married only shortly before his death...irronically, his son also followed suit and was married in his old age.suanj wrote:frankly........ it are necessary all right data for to find something... so married in 1913...!
thus, all children were born out of wedlock!

Re: Mandarino
suanj, I keep coming back to this as a possible lead - this may be a key to unlocking the mystery...where did you find this information??suanj wrote:Hi, with this data is no possible to find something.... I remember by teresita contact that in the Valentino Mandarino marriage record was wrote Basilicata as birthplace.... no so much Gennaro Mandarino in the world, and are a Vicente Mandarino and Genaro son emigrated before of 1891 in USA; well normally in a family, and especially in the past time, the name of cousins was the same... if we can know more about the birthplace of this Genaro(Gennaro) perhaps we have some right idea...

I saved the copy, but no the date of arrival, so for me is no possible to find more, ... the spell of this first names, Vicente and Genaro is no in italian correct spelling, also if they are italian citizens, so i believe that this persons had a south american last residence, because Vicente and Genaro is spanish spell.. if some member look up the arrival date perhaps we can have some idea.. regards, suanj
