I have surname palange in my family that came from Cambo... I live in Ohio where most all of the palange's settled. Do you have any names? If so i can possibly tell you if they are connected to me and if we are relatives! I have found quite a bit of information but am still on my family history search!

Yes! My Great great grandfather was Antonio Palange married to Carmela Bilotta. I know that he came over to stay with his brother Michele but i can't find anything on Michele. Antonio came over with his sister Maria Antonia. I also found they had a sister Elveria (Alveria) and their father was Francesco and mother Maria Pesce? That is as far as i have gotten on the Palange side but I know there are alot of Palange's in Ohio. Do any of these names sound familiar to you?

Sorry I was on the wrong family line... Antonio's father was Liberto (Libero)Palange and mother was Carmela Civica (civicha) - i don't think the maiden name is right but i only have Antonio's marriage record to go off of. Antonio was born Aug 3, 1891. I don't have any other information on Liberto or Carmela....

I am writing here with a bit strange and difficult question... I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina and I am trying to find the root of my last name. And why am I writing here? Well, my last name is Palangetic. It is rather strange surname for our region and it doesn't have any meaning, which is also not usual. Searching lead me to the last name Palange. I know it is a very long shot, but the names are so similar that it made me wonder whether there was some connection. Does anyone have information if some Palanges had connections with the Balkan Peninsula? Any information is welcome.

Ciao! Can you tell me the date of death and place of death for: Giuseppe Antonio Palange DOB 17 Jan 1830 and his spouse Marianna Serena or Sereno DOB Abt 1831, both probably born in Jelsi, Campobasso. Grazie!
