Visiting Calabria

I posted a topic the other day...Traveling to Caulonia from Positano...and I'm curious if it's safe to travel to and visit Calabria. In general, does anyone know if there are certain areas in Calabria I should avoid? I'm not sure if Caulonia is a safe place to visit, but would appreciate input from anyone who's visited Calabria and/or Caulonia. Thanks. :)

Hi Lynnef. I can't help you with information about Caulonia, but just wanted to ask if you've looked at the forum on slowtravel or slowtalk? There are a lot of people who post there with varied travel experiences within Italy. (Sorry to direct you elsewhere, but if no one responds here with information, there's always a second place to search!) Have a wonderful time in Italy. :)
